The hills are alive...

Yesterday, I came home to the smell of wood burning. This morning, I left to the smell of wood burning and came home to the same smell. After a dancin' good time at CKLU, my mom wanted to show me the new flowers she had purchased in the morning. I don't know why she wanted to show me them -- I had to unload them for her in order to get the truck ( Read more... )

the one year plan obsidian_101 May 28 2006, 07:09:44 UTC
Ah yes, my one year plan.
It starts with getting a nice job waiting tables at Swiss Chalet. I'm this close to landing it! With the surplus tip money, I'll be able to update my wardrobe into what I will call "Taylor Mk.3"
I'm taking a big trip to Italy in July, and I'm toying with the prospect of showing up to Toronto early enough to take part in some of the pride week festivities there.
The fall and winter will be spent saving money for the big move, and formally applying to CCNM in North York and the Boucher Institute in New Westminster. Second semester of school will be spent completing my stats course and perhaps another chemistry credit.
In May, I'll hopefully be off to the Dominican Republic for my cousin's wedding! All the while, I'll be squirreling money away for when it comes time to support myself abroad. I'll likely have to take out a massive loan or two to afford the naturopathy tuition, which kind of makes me want to simply enjoy life now before clamping myself into another grueling four years of education. I'd love to do an exchange to La Belle Province!

In short, I'm going to be big on working, but I've got some schooling to mix in as well. I intend to keep myself occupied with short trips here and there. The pendulum will swing back to heavy schooling no sooner than January 2008, at which time I'll be moved out and beginning post graduate studies.

And there you have it, my one (and a half) year plan.

How does your year look? Public servant, Russian operative, successful globe-trotter?
