LJ to mine random 5% of their users for information

LJ has announed plans to begin mining certain information from a random sampling of journals. Go here for the detailed article and the opt out instructions on the LJ_BIZ community. It takes awhile to load, probably because there are seven pages of comments on it.
anywho... i'm not too terribly concerned because if they really wanted the information they could certainly get it one way or the other. but i did opt out! mostly this is because i use my computer at work to do the majority of my LJing and not that many of my entries are private or flocked. :/ also because it's really NONE of anyone's BUSINESS what i click on after i look at my friends page or what links i like and use. WHY DOES THAT MATTER?!?! WHO CARES?! eet's peesing mee off. that's what!
