Just for a change of pace...

So. It's September 11th. I suppose I could make some patriotic, stirring journal entry about what that means to me... But I'm sure everyone reading this has already seen one or two or a dozen entries like that on their friends lists today already. So I'm not going to. Besides, after five years, it doesn't quite have the same impact.

Of course, that could also be at least partially due to the fact that the Bush administration (or just about any Republican in office, really) tends to bring it up every two weeks, or whenever they feel like they're losing an arguement, or if they want to stir up people's emotions so much that they won't notice just what they're agreeing to. Whichever comes first.

Damn, sorry. This was supposed to be a politics-free post. Moving on, then...

So, my day went fairly well. Mailed a couple of packages for my mother, then I hit four places just to find a copy of D.E.B.S. - which was a bit annoying, I have to admit. But at least I finally got it. ^_^ And you totally should, too, as it rocks. *grins*

I also picked up a new cd at store number two - El Mundo Se Equivoca, by La Quinta Estacion. (Or La 5a Estacion.) I'd previously bought Flores de Alquiler online, so I knew I'd love this one, too. Don't ask me why I like listening to their music when I can't understand a word of it, though... I just do. *lol* What can I say? They're just that good. *winks*

Later on, in the evening, my aunt stopped by to give me some money for helping her at the Woodstock Fair(e). Personally, I don't think I earned all that much, as all I really did for her was help her move a display or two when she was opening and closing her booth, but... *shrugs* At least, unlike my grandparents, I'm pretty sure she can afford to give me money.

And now my muse is toying around with the idea of a D.E.B.S./She's The Man crossover fic, which is vaguely scary in that it could actually work, if done right.

So, all in all, a pretty good day.

I leave you with this:
