poets?

I was pondering iconing some poetry, and may still do so - though it's really hard to get the feel of a poem into a 100x100 pixel space - but I realized I didn't really know if anyone is interested in poetry icons and who they'd like to see poetry icons from ( Read more... )

I love poetry icons, and have made a few myself. My suggestion would be Gerard Manley Hopkins, who has a very evocative and unique style *points to icon*.

I second Cummings and Yeats. I also like Robert Frost, particularly "Fire and Ice" and "Acquainted with the Night". Then there's William Carlos Williams, John Crowe Ransom...and Gibran's The Prophet. Oh! Can't forget Emily Dickinson....

Yes on the poetry icons! I love poetry~ Even if it were just a line, life would be good. ...As far as who I would be most thrilled to see... Hee. I'm good on most anything, and would have to give specific poems rather than people. Elizabeth Barrett Browning is my favorite poet ever, though. [/babble]
