20 Lost character icons

Feb 20, 2006 23:43

For some reason, I was compelled to make these. I don't normally make fandom icons, and I don't normally use this style. But something just made me do it. enriana has promised not to kick me out for making semi trendy fandom icons if I post them here ;) I hope some of you enjoy them, anyway ( Read more... )

They're not spoilers! They're promo shots! I'm almost positive they're not from any episodes. Unless you mean there are characters you haven't seen before. :/

Exactly, characters who, as far as I know, don't exist. I have put considerable effort into avoiding any sort of publicity or spoilers for the show. So unknown characters are quite the surprise.

Ack, then I'm sorry :/ They could be characters from flashbacks that became more important.. or something... I'll edit with a "possible Season 2 spoiler" above the cut.

*sniff* I know. I'm going to screen your comment though, as I'm paranoid about spoilers now. I'm certain this has been shown in the UK, but there might be people who are just behind.

Wow, Emma, these are beautiful. With the coloring techniques you've used, they look like they could just step right out of the icons. Strolls away whistling ... "that" song.
(And realizes how hard it is to comment without saying anything spoilerish lol.)

Thank you! I started with very good quality pictures, and then played around with various layers and things. There's the typical dark blue exclusion layer, then I have random things like a light pink on soft light, light blue on colour burn, and a couple of random peachy/pink layers on multiply and colour burn, with random opacities. And a few more layers of the image themselves. Some of them didn't work as is, so I had to put layer masks over parts of them and adjust the levels on others, and add more screen layers on yet others. So I couldn't do this all with actions like my last set, sadly ;)

If you want to say spoilery things, you can screen quickly afterwards :)
