I think I really like the idea of there not being another world. If it's true then I won't have to worry about eternal hell, or being reincarnated when I finally take death into my hands.

Ah, but Mademoiselle, you mustn't been paying adequate attention. When we die, our energy is recycled through Nature's processes, and we become something else...like reincarnation, but without all of the caste and wanting-it-to-end business.

And why would you want to do such a thing? Why speed up the process? We're already dying every second of every day. Why not live a little?

That was.. different from other stories I've been told or read. . .

Far more philosophical than my other works, but I enjoy writing such things from time to time. My works tend to be different, but that is what makes my prose so special.

Did you enjoy it, though?

Ah, forgive my rudeness. Allow me to introduce myself. I am the Marquis de Sade. It is a great pleasure to meet such a lovely cherub as yourself.

Different is good, usually.

It was an interesting read. . .

It's.. okay. Nice to meet you, sir. I'm Presea, though is there something else I should call you?

I am pleased to see that you think so.

Ah, well, I suppose I shall just have to accept "interesting". Interesting is good, usually.

"The Marquis" works just fine, or "Marquis", if you'd prefer. I'm not too fond of my birth name, as it has gotten me into a fair bit of trouble.

Why is such a lovely nymph such as yourself locked up in this dreary place? It's no place for one as sweet as you.

((ooc; XDDDD Pardon the flirting. X3 ))

I am glad you enjoyed it, Mademoiselle. My philosophies are different than most, but the presence of our most recent "spiritual advisor", as it were, prompted me to present them for all to see in the hopes that they will not attempt to shove religion down my throat again.

Well I think your point was quite clear.

Good. No need to worry about our "friend" the Bishop, then.

....I hope I am not coming across as being too forward, but I should like to see you again. Your presence simply screams "libertinage", and it is so very refreshing being near a kindred spirit.

I guess...you're not a fan of religious people? Or of religions...

Reply

obsessiveauthor April 13 2008, 02:26:11 UTC
No, I am not. Religions are for the weak, and if one wants to be so foolish to embrace a religion, then that is their prerogative, not mine. I have had...bad experiences with those in religion, and all I have seen reeks of hypocrisy.

((ooc; His last doctor was a very religious man who took his writing tools away, amongst other inhumane treatments. Needless to say, it was a very bad experience, so he doesn't like religious people, particularly Christians, as a result.))

My thanks, doctor. It is always a delight to see one of my captors enjoy my writing. Makes my imprisonment not as hopeless.
