When I first arrived, I didn't really expect I'd still be here when it came time for my birthday. Not that I thought about it extensively, but if I'd been asked, I would probably have said I thought I would be back home by now.

It's quite alright. It sort of snuck up on me, as well. I didn't realize it until I happened to see the date on my handheld. Though I think my birthday would be a good deal less happy if you weren't here any longer.
