I'm very glad you enjoyed it, thank you! Yeah, The Tudors was decent good fun but it did play a bit fast and loose with the history. I'm hoping Wolf Hall et al will be better.
There are not enough hearts in the world to tell you how much I love this vid. SO MUCH LOVE. I especially love how you turned The Tudors into a metacommentary on itself and on history. I may have watched both these vids approx. 1 million times, and I knew for sure this one was you, and was extremely suspicious of the other, but I hate to guess and be wrong. *g* Thank you so, so much.
Haha, very well done for suspecting the other one was me! I had tried very hard to appear as two people there. ;D Again, thank you so much! I am so happy that you enjoyed both! :D
This is as good as the opening credits for True Blood, better. I know that sounds like a weird compliment, but networks are putting more and more money and attention into opening credits these days. This is flat out AMAZING. The song choice, the editing, the way you cut it to make it so poignant. I am completely floored. I hope you're in film school and can use this as a project because you'll get a superlative.
I gave up on the Tudors after season 2 and now want to watch the whole thing...even knowing that it will be terrible, you made it look compelling and irresistible. This video is amazing and stunning, and the pacing and punctuation really adds to the feeling of the piece. Those parallels of clergy and king are wonderful and I especially liked the end bits where it hints at the future.
The end of s2 was the high point IMO, so if you gave up by that point then it's probably not going to be awesome viewing, I'm afraid to say. Still, I'm glad to hear that didn't hinder your enjoyment of the vid! Thank you for your kind comment! I'm quite partial to the "visions of the future" so very glad that worked for you in particular.
