Hehe, I actually came at the song the other way - I knew I needed to vid Antony/Vorenus and was randomly trawling through YT looking for a song. I'm glad that the fit worked for you. I too love the women of the show (especially Atia and Cleopatra, omg) but feel less compelled to vid them; I think it's because they're already explored so well in-show that I don't think I could add anything by vidding them. Whereas, like you say, that sense of masculine energy, the way it underpinned this relationship between such big strapping men with these really regimented military sides to them, but there are these incredibly painful and tender sides to them too, and it feels as though they are so much more brittle than the women. Oh, men. No matter how awesome they are, there's always a side that's just a big baby that you need to cradle. :P
Anyway, I have digressed off the plantation. I'm super glad the children/Octavian stuff worked for you, and the hammering. :D And, wow! To compare it to the likes of Handlebars and Day in the Life is tremendously high praise indeed. I'd actually intended for this vid to premiere at bascon, but it took waaaay longer to finish than expected.
