music and maths
I've always felt an intuitive link betwen maths and music, in the same way that string theory really appeals because it so easily leads to the idea that everything in creation is effectively making music. Recently I found this old BBC Radio 4 programme discussing mathematics and music - really interesting. You can stream online (not sure if available to UK only), or can direct download the mp3. It's part of the bigger In Our Time series. So much interesting stuff in there.
