Day 11 - An anime/animated vid you love
Die Another Day by AsukaBulma, Noir.
One of the first AMVs I ever watched, and still one of the best and most entertaining I've ever seen. The effects express such an in-your-face sense of musicality, and really showcases how differently anime source can lend itself to vidding techniques, compared to live action source. This vid had a very strong influence on one of my earlier vids, Post Blue.
ETA: sigh, just tried the amv.org link and realise it's gone. I did a quick google and saw that it seems to be up for streaming here, although I'd wager the vidder didn't post it herself so I feel a bit funny linking to that. Meh. It's too good not to share.

In other news, just saw Inception. (No spoilers >> no cut.) I enjoyed it, but don't feel like I need to see it again. No real thoughts other than to say it falls somewhere in between my favourite and least-favourite in the Nolan spectrum. (Favourite being either Memento or The Prestige, depending on the day.) And also that I am forcefully reminded of just how much I love and adore Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Marion Cotillard and Cillian Murphy. ♥ for all.
