*dies* This was really amazing! The flow of the vid was incredible! You are a master at that. I love what you did with the bridge of the song too. Love this vid!
Good luck with the contest! You deserve to win! :P
Thank you very much, Kitty! I'm so glad that you enjoyed the flow. :D I felt really lazy with my recent vids so tried to pay extra attention to internal motion in this vid and I'm glad that it paid off.
Heh, I'm sure your entry will beat mine hands down.
Heh, I'm sure your entry will beat mine hands down. Oh no it wouldn't, lol. I'm not entering though. I Never got the chance to gather all the outside source to make it.
Oh, that really sucks. I was looking forward to a Twilight vid from you and thought you've had a plan to make one for ages? Though the D*C contest doesn't allow outside footage anyway, so I guess it doesn't really matter in terms of the contest. (I had this whole thing where I had external source of a rose bursting into flame in sublime awesome crackiness, but was forced to give it up when I realised it couldn't be accepted.)
If there's one thing good about Twilight it's the brilliantly creeptastic vids that are pouring in. I love your use of motion, the image of the hunted deer and brilliant editing of chaos in the end.
Oh, and matching the line "another corporate show" to Edward picking up the apple is just inspired.
As someone who thought this movie was the crappiest thing I'd seen in years, I found the vid very entertaining and this can now justify the 2 hours I wasted on this film. ;) The use of motion, distortion clips and overall movement is great as usual. I really loved the use of the deer throughout. The time-toggle follwed by the slow mo at 0:50 made me go "hehe". loved the part on the guitar solo beginning at 2:15. I can hardly say I was emotionnaly involved in the vid given my opinion on the movie and "this is my intense face though I look stupid" acting but I still thought you managed to make something pretty intense with a tension growing throughout. This definitely has lots of rewatch value just because of that and the on point editing that you serve on a nice plate. :) You used the imagery and movement of the movie really well and the ensemble is just great :)
this can now justify the 2 hours I wasted on this film I'm not sure it can justify the time I spent editing the vid on top of the two hours I spent at the cinema with my sister. ;) Although cracking up while the fangirls all sit starry eyed going oooh is its own special reward, I guess. Anyway, thank you for the kind comment! I inordinately love Muse's guitar solos and was happy to have had the chance to edit it here.
OMG YOU MADE A TWILIGHT VID!!! AND YOU INCLUDED THE SPARKLEZ AND THE VAMPIRE BASEBALLLLL!!!! AHAHAHAHA!!!
Though I'm not gonna deny the fact that I only partake in anything Twilight just to make fun of it, you managed to make a thrilling vid nonetheless. Gonna have to agree that your work on the bridge was fantastic. I'm sure you'll win the contest and hell, really what I got out of watching this was that I need to rewatch the film! o_0 Oh noes! (Like a moth to a flame...*sigh*)
There can be no Twilight vid without SPARKLEZ AND VAMPIRE BASEBALL!!!!!!! You'd be just heading into standard vampire lore, and where's the fun in that. :D Thank you! Glad that you took the time to watch.
I think I've been compromised by watching the footage too much via editing, but Twilight's been giving me a lot of thinkies recently about the nature of relationships. I like there's this whole underlying layer of problematical social messages beneath the crack. Unintended side effect, probably, but even more interesting because of its subconscious nature. I'm going to sit here and go "hmm".

Heh. Well that's SMeyer for ya. That's why I don't understand how anyone could actually take it seriously. The problems with those books are literally x INFINITY.
1. Stop making "Twilight" look awesome. 2. This is an excellent vid. I love the tension, the recurring deer (!) imagery, the unsettling predatory tone that is 100% canon. I especially love the whole sequence from 2:13 - 2:25, just brilliantly done.
the unsettling predatory tone that is 100% canon Thank you! That was exactly what I was trying to show. Awesomepants. I guess if you study any text for long enough you end up digging up interesting problems, but it seems particularly obvious with this source. Well... obvious to certain subsets of people whereas certain other subsets seem to remain blissfully oblivious. In fact, this dichotomy in interpretation is probably the most interesting thing about it. I really need to sit my 14 year old sister down and ask exactly what she likes about Twilight, because I think the answer will be illuminating. Anyway, I ramble muchly and off topic. Apologies! Thank you very much for your lovely feedback!
