Fic: Godhead Castiel: Fondly Regard Creation
So, I wrote a silly Supernatural fic. THIS IS WHAT MY LIFE HAS BECOME.

Author's Notes: If you have ever read the MS Paint Adventures webcomic Problem Sleuth, then this will hopefully be slightly less ridiculous. This just kind of popped into my head after deciding that, while I like the name Godstiel, I find it more fun to call the new Cas "Godhead Castiel", and imagining a surprisingly cheery season 7 in which all Godhead Castiel can do is fondly regard creation rather than kill dissenting angels and anyone who refuses to worship him. I was particularly inspired by one of my favorite pages in Problem Sleuth, with the command "Godhead Pickle Inspector: Fondly regard crustacean". Proofread/Beta'd by my brother, who introduced me to MSPA. Wrote this pretty quickly. It's very short. Also, I tossed in Oregon because I'm a dork.
This was not what he had hoped for when he absorbed those souls.
He cannot smite or command. Raphael's followers go unpunished. Heaven is in shambles, and there is nothing Castiel can do about it.
Maybe he did something wrong. His Father was certainly not this limited.
Since returning to Heaven, all he can do is look upon the world and all of creation with fondness. He hears every prayer, but he can no longer contact anyone on Earth. Not even Dean.
And yet, when he looks down at the world, he feels at peace with his new place in the cosmos, even if it is not what he had in mind.
There is a hermit crab claiming its new home on a beach in Newport, Oregon. And Castiel regards this crustacean fondly.
