In Which Obsessive Gets Sucked More Into Scooby Doo.

So, I was rather bored today, and I can't keep watching the new Community over and over again. And I want the Scooby hiatus to be OVER, dammit, so I decided to watch Scooby Doo! The Mystery Begins. Here are some thoughts.

First off, WHY DIDN'T ANY OF THE DUDES DYE THEIR HAIR?! Would it have been THAT HARD? I'm pretty sure Matthew Lillard and Freddie Prince Jr. are both naturally brunette, but they dyed their hair for their Scooby movies!

Ugh, sorry, that's just been bugging me.

Because I LOVE LOVE LOVE the characterizations in Mystery Incorporated so much, I now have trouble seeing Fred as The Jock and Velma as The Quiet Nerd. I have nothing against it, it's just... weird. WHERE ARE THE TRAPS?! AND THE SNARK?!

Shaggy was so sad. I actually went "awwww" for him a few times.

SCOOBY DOO. He didn't even look like a Great Dane. WTF? Legs were too short and fat.

I thought it was pretty cool that Velma, Fred, and Daphne all shared a love of mystery novels.

The acting was pretty... meh. There were parts that made me cringe. I liked the girl playing Velma, even though she wasn't very good either. She was just adorable. I loved her run.

To quote Jeff Winger, "TOO. MUCH. SEXUAL. TENSION." My Gods, there was some between all the (human, thankfully) characters! Except for Fred and Shaggy, that is. Fred even landed on Velma in that "Oh, hey" kind of way.

VELMA/DAPHNE IS TOTES CANON. Velma kept referring to Daphne as "The Hottie" and "The Hot Girl". VELMA THINKS DAPHNE IS HOT.

Overall, it was entertaining.

Okay, that's it for now.

I WANT MYSTERY INC. BACK NOW.

tv taught me how to feel, scooby doo, femslash, movies
