Your Point Of View Is Medieval
So after that depressing pet-death post, here's another post about he Qur'an burning.
So, earlier today Terry Jones cancelled the Qur'an burning. Of course, that's just the one is Florida. Burnings elsewhere (including the Westboro Baptist Church, of course, the "God Hates Fags" idiots), and then he thought that he could convince Imam Rauf to move the Islamic cultural center away from Ground Zero. Which it already is. It's four blocks away. I guess he thought that they already had a deal or something.
Now he's whining that's he's BEEN LIIIIIIEEEDD TOOOOOOO!
Imam Rauf never had any intention of moving the cultural center. There wasn't a deal.
But the imam proposing to build the Islamic center near the World Trade Center denied that a deal had been struck to move the project.
"I am glad that Pastor Jones has decided not to burn any Qurans," Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf said in a statement. "However, I have not spoken to Pastor Jones or Imam Musri (of Florida). I am surprised by their announcement. We are not going to toy with our religion or any other. Nor are we going to barter. We are here to extend our hands to build peace and harmony."
Terry Jones is an asshole. Never forget that.
