Despite All My Rage I Am Still Just A Rat In A Cage
I'm gonna brag I could have bragged about a year ago. SHUT UP I NEED THIS AFTER TODAY.
So, I don't know how many of you guys like the Smashing Pumpkins, but you know how they got a new drummer last year?
Mike Byrne?
Yeah.
I know him.
I went to high school with him. He's a year older than me, but for three years I was in marching band with him, and for two years we were in the same band class. I usually sat at the end of the flute row, right next the drum set. Every other day he'd blast my ears out.
AND NOW HE'S THE FRAKKING DRUMMER FOR THE SMASHING PUMPKINS. And I'm about to watch him on Leno!
He came to one or two band competitions in the fall. Haha, I asked him to talk to my dad (who's passion is music and "Disarm" is one of his favorite songs), and they chatted for awhile.
So... Yeah. I know a rock star. And right now, I'm going to pretend that fact automatically makes me a little more awesome.
