Fanfic ideas, fanart/vid recs... Yeah.
Ever since the Avatar finale, and even before, I've had fanfic ideas swarming through my head. I thought maybe writing my ideas here might help, maybe even get some feedback.
One that I've had in mid since before The Southern Raiders, and thankfully the episode didn't change anything, just gave me more ideas, is yet another Katara-angry-at-Zuko darkfic. I got the idea for it from listening to "The Waitress" by Tori Amos (where the title comes from) and "I Know Where You Sleep" by Emilie Autumn. Basically, Katara starts to notice some increasingly violent thoughts and urges towards Zuko. She's not sure what to think of it. A mix of shame about even thinking such things, and some comfort, too. And, guess what? Chit Seng. Does something. I figured it would be interesting to have him talk with Katara. After TSR aired, and Katara was noticeably unhinged, I was more encouraged to do it. Um, anyway, I'm rambling.
This one probably won't be a one-shot. After reading (somewhere) that, according to Bryke, Azula is currently at a mental health facility for healing. I really, REALLY like that idea. So I wanted to write a story of how I see her rehab go. Many guest appearances by "Ursa", acting sort of as Azula's subconscious mind. Also some therapy sessions, visitors, and stuff like that. And no, it's nothing like Arkham, and I'm afraid I won't integrate any Jokerzula. I'm keeping Azula in the facility. No revolving doors.
Lastly, a much fluffier, post-finale Katara n' Zuko story. Inspired by the-sun-is-up's comment about Katara being Zuko's new drinking buddy, (though she says she got it from someone else, I think. I LOVED that image, so I plan on writing a genfic where Zuko and Katara (no Zutara) meeting up at the Misty Palms Oasis for some fruity beverages to catch up. Not much time has passed, I'm thinking probably a few months.
