shaggydogstail sked:
1. Top five myths/fairy tales
Wow, okay, tough one. Hm. I love myths and fairy tales, but I have quite a wide definition of the lot, so you'll have to forgive me if my picks aren't quite... what you'd call the category. In no particular order
- Robin Hood. Nothing on earth can convince me otherwise.
- Frederick and Catherine (The Grimms Brothers). This made me laugh myself to tears as a child, and as an adult, it never fails to perk me up.
- The myth of Daedalus and Icarus. Cautionary and whimsical and perfect.
- East of the Sun and West of the Moon.
- The original "Little Mermaid". Blood and tears and all.
2. Mountain or forest?
Mountain. I have a thing about heights.
3. The god of tv want to honour you with the gift of your choosing. What do you pick?
Whoa. Assuming that the gift has nothing to do with the TV, I'd ask for unlimited magic powers. (If that wasn't going to happen, I'd probably ask for something like sheer genius)
4. What was your childhood ambition?
I wanted to be an astronaut. To touch and see things no one else had ever seen. Virgin lands. The idea of that much space took my breath away. Still does. I have a relationship with the idea of space that I still can't put into words.
5. What is your worst habit?
Hahaha. Haha. Ha. Uh. God. (where do I even begin?) I guess it'd have to be my tendency to talk too much. With. Well. Everyone. Uh. I can be ridiculously quiet. But when I get started, it's hard to make me stop. And uh. I get very vehement about things I believe in. To the point of pissing everyone else off. I'd... make a good politician?
