Holiday Weekend Update
I totally phoned it in last week, sorry, kids.
The usual bunch of being busy, but not much going on...
Holiday season is upon us. Got some shopping done on Black Friday, nothing major, but I'm not freaking out or anything about the number of gifts I have to buy.
Finances are a little iffy BECAUSE I bought a tv on Saturday [It was all cash! Boo on Sam's Club, but it was a great deal anyway]. It sure is shiny! I'm very excited about it. 37" LCD High Definition Flatscreen. *sigh* It's dreamy. I just signed up for cable, so for those of you counting, I may actually be living full time in my apartment by mid-December, hee!
The boy came up for the weekend. He is integrating into my family nicely. They like him and he seems to like them too. I was glad that he came to visit.
I was supposed to go there and visit with his family as well, but I was sick all last week. That was the reason for the "phone in" on Wednesday. On Monday, I wasn't feeling the greatest and chose to fight it with 2 Liqui-gel Advil and a can of Coke on an empty stomach. Well, all that acidity had me really sick, to the point of curling up in my bed and trying not to breathe because that hurt too. Thankfully, I was better by Saturday, but it was looking dodgy for a bit there. I wonder how people do it with Red Bull and cigarettes; there have to be better ways to lose weight without ripping apart your stomach, you know?
OH, by the way, Saturday marked the occasion of the "first fight" and guess who's fault it was. Yep, me, aaaaallll me. Ooops.
Work was busy today. Let's hope it continues!
