Happy Thanksgiving
One of you pointed out that I haven't blogged in a week! For those of you that read daily or weekly or whathaveyou, sorry, I am fine. :D
Last Friday, I went to my adopted hometown because Louisiana girl came in. It was great to see her. Saturday, we tailgated...it was very cold. Jock Girl and I were expecting it to be really fun and exciting and a drunken fest that we would never forget. Um. We went to a Big 10 school. It wasn't that exciting. Maybe our expectations were too high. We talked about it; we're not sure. The highlight was this:
If you are unsure about what this is - it's an ice luge. Specially made for the tailgate and engraved. Crazy. Anyway, at the top part, someone pours a shot/drink down a chute and one puts their mouth at the bottom of said chute to drink it and hopefully not get all over themselves or the ground. Easier said than done...
Sunday, we went to lunch and shopping - it started snowing before we awoke. So I ended up staying until Monday morning and driving into work.
Monday, Tuesday, & Wednesday were pretty much a blur of NO WORK. We sat around and played Rummy 500 for a good part of the day and Uno for the rest. Add in a nap or two and lunch and that's work, my friends. You think it sounds awesome, but it's not - hate to break it to you.
Last night (Wed) went out. Bar scene was crazy with 21-24 year olds in for the holiday. Ended up taking Irish home with me - I'm sorry to say that it was kinda uneventful for a few reasons. I won't bother you with the details.
Thanksgiving was spent with the family and it was really nice. Christmas shopping tomorrow (today).
