Drinking Makes A Day Better

Yesterday, as I mentioned before, we started drinking early...1115am or so. I've never been a kegs-and-eggs sort of girl, so anytime prior to noon is considered early to me. Anyway, got a little tipsy from the wine tastings - gotta say that my palate has definitely opened up a bit and that makes me happy. We had a good time talking to one of the winemakers who happened to be in one of the tasting rooms and it was pretty interesting to hear "from the horse's mouth" closest level to the action stuff.

Went back to the hotel early afternoon so that our friend could get ready for the wedding (he was in it), and then Louisiana (LA) girl and I tucked into the sparkling cuvee that I had bought. Knocked off the bottle and then it was time to head to the wedding ourselves. It was small and intimate. No major drama from anyone, including TEX. It was perfect weather to be outside and we had a good time. Proceeded to drink MUCH more wine and champagne at the wedding and got a more than a bit drunk (broke a glass, although it wasn't really my fault, more of a wrong place, wrong time) and tipped over a chair (totally my fault, I meant to push it back in order to sit down and um, overshot) - even had a few shots of tequila - not sure who started that (wasn't me, I swear). Headed over to some hole-in-the-wall bar and hung out. Watched the guys try to get with a certain bridesmaid who wasn't having it. When we got back to the hotel, I'm ashamed to say, that I dropped a drunken text to one of the boys and it wasn't accepted, so definitely a blessing in disguise.

friends, all me
