A Brief Update from the freakish hills that are Ithaca...

Ok, It's probably wicked nerdtastic of me to be in the basement of the resident hall on a BEAUTIFUL day, but I just had to tell y'all some more AWESOME stuff.

I will write up a thing about the Penn's Landing Show (I wrote it on paper, and it's seven pages front and back :P) but to sum up:
-HAVE MET DANNY WEINKAUF AND HAVE COMPLETED MY TMBG MEMBER "CHECK LIST"
-got flans pick
-got foam hand
-got 'working undercover for the man' and 'spine surfs alone' eps
-got danny to sign my WUFTM ep, and marty to sign my foam hand
-got said foam hand from Flansburgh
-took (hopefully) good pictures
-met leolapyre and therealtdk which was wicked cool

and okay, so I had my first writing class today, and we were talking about stuff we like to read, and I mentioned LOVING Dave Eggers, and my teacher was like "Oh yes, McSweeneys" and I said "I love McSweeneys" and he said (i'm sorry i sound like such a dumb-assed fangirl but i'm trying to type uber fast) "I had a story in Volume 5" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I expressed interest, told him that I only had McSweeney's collections and the website and he said (AND I FRIGGIN' QUOTE) "Yeah, Dave Eggers was a fan of my work."

I AM BEING TAUGHT BY A MAN WHO WAS ADMIRED BY DAVE EGGERS. AND HE SAID HE LIKED MY DIALOGUE. I'm frigging in heaven, I swears. Perhaps I'll post the stuff I wrote when I come back. But I had to tell you folks. Incase you are curious, my teacher's name is Jason Ockert. His story was called "Mother May I?" If you happen to locate it (or a snippet or review or w.e) on the internet, leave me a comment. Or if you *have* Volume five, maybe you'll let me know how it is.

I stayed after class and talked to him a bit about the unreliable narrator of YSKOV!. It was so FREAKING AWESOME to be able to talk about Dave Eggers to someone who has MET HIM.

I'm just so damn happy right now :) Everyone's so nice here. It's amazing.

Adam Day concert tonight! SO FREAKIN' PUMPED!!!
