Little Miss Sunshine (2006)classically structured, and hilarious.
I love road movies. always have. this one is a great example. there is the journey both geographic and internal, though I found the end to be too pat.
I liked the character of the grandfather. I could tell Alan Arkin had fun with the role -- how often does an actor get to play a foul mouthed, heroin using grandfather?
a completely non-film related observation: children's beauty pageants freak me out. the unapologetic sexualization of minors is incredibly creepy and makes my skin crawl.
