Gville and UF- a wrap up
So tomorrow is officially my last day here @ UF and Gville both as a student and resident. Farewell, goodbye, see ya suckers! j/k lol
As I am packing away my things I feel nostalgic when I happen to find a random note, photo or map of UF. Its more like a bitter-sweet relationship to me, but not for long.
So my finals were messed up, I ended up taking two make-up exams this semester for the first time! One of them was this Friday @7:25AM for 4 hrs! Let's just say that now I hate modern computer mice b/c of that exam. This past Tuesday were my going away parties. My PI took me and the whole lab to Chopsticks for lunch in which I ate a wonderful Tempura. I finally got to pass down the torch of ordering to the grad student and my new hopeful lab protege. I wish her lots of luck...she'll need it. As I turned in my lab key today and cleaned out my desk I felt so sad to leave it like that...after 3.4 yrs there. My mentor Dr. Li told me to come back and visit any time and to make random phone calls lol. The grad students want my contact info for future questions and just random talk. As I read their farewell card I almost cried...I'll miss them.
Later on that night I got together with some friends for my going away/ Suki's 22nd b-day party! It was fun...too bad I was getting sleepy early b/c I had to take my chem make-up final that morning @ 10 am... I am not a morning person.
Yesterday I went out w/Billy to dinner and to go to the stadium for one last time. He was bickering about med school as I listened and watch across the UF campus from a random high ass spot he showed me. He wrote our names on the bill board w/my key screw driver saying 09'. I couldn't help but cry after that. The view was so peacefull and quiet, I wish I could have stayed up there a bit longer.
Now I'm stuck packing.. ugh... I hate packing... especially if you have to pack EVERYTHING you have had for the past 3 yrs on one fixed location...I'm just wondering when the heck did I get so much stuff. oh and i'm going to Peru afterall, this monday to be exact.
I hope FIU brings good things. I won't be working and i'll be complety bored on Thrusdays b/c of my 6 hr gap on nothing-ness. Not to mention that the engineering building feels like a small island... I don't know how the heck am I gonna get to try out that peruvian restaurant across from it. But when there is a will there is most certainly a way--and I got a whole semester to figure that puzzle out.

So apperently due to popular demand I'll be spending my Spring break in Gville b/c if I don't I'll have people trying to hunt me down. Goodbye UF, FIU here I come! muahahahahaha *evil grin*
