pickup trucks
a friend posted a meme on fb today... of an old stepside with text saying 'i would rather sit on a tail-gate of a pickup and watch a bonfire than go to the mall anyday.'
i have so many bonfire memories. bonfires in blackhawk laying in the beds of pick-up trucks. constant energy. the rope swing. the trench coats. the flannels. wrestling.
bonfires with luke. we were the worst fire-starters in history. pulling a boombox out to listen to music. wrapping up burrito style in the blankets.
bonfires at the farm & camping. smoke, drink & relax.
and now, stove fires in the cabin.
