Update! Hurrah! Not dead! Hurrah!
Many a thing has been happening recently, so I shall summarise in dot point form. The best of all summarising forms, in my opinion.
#1. Brisbane.
I LOVE it. There is no where else I would prefer to live, except maybe London. But I really do like it there. It just feels more like home than the Gold Coast ever did. Of course it was my home, but now that I've been living in Brisbane, I just feel better. Meh, I don't know.
#2. My First Hospital Visit.
Even though this was quite a while ago, I still think it's significant. Our evil ex-fridge broke, and the cheese was bad. No one told me, so I went ahead and made dinner and used it and for the next few days I was fevery and delirious and I didn't know what end the little food and drink I had consumed was going to come out of. On the 4th day, I begged Ben to take me to the hospital which he was reluctant to do because he thought that I was being overdramatic.
I got straight into emergency and they put me on a drip and I had to pee in a cup and wear one on those backless robes. Not very nice, but after about 4 hours on a drip, just sitting there being bored.
Eventually, they diagnosed me with severe dehydration and severe food poisoning and gave me lovely drugs as there was some kind of abnormality in my blood which was likely to be some kind of stomach infection or something. So that was fairly exciting.
#3. Two Jobs.
Tough is the only way I can describe it. I work at the bakery still and now I work at Coffee Club opposite the Mater Hospital, incidentally where I went to be cured from dehydration. Anyway, I've been working there for three weeks now and I'm a master of making cold drinks. I make a mean iced chocolate. So mean infact that when you drink it, it'll mug your intestines. Plus soon I'm going to be taught how to make coffee, which is very very exciting. And I get paid a whole lot more at the cafe than at the bakery which is great.
#4. Dylan Moran.
My life is complete. I have seen him. Been in the same room as him. Unfortunately, he used a lot of the jokes from his Monster show and he didn't go for as long as I expected, but apart from that I was totally enamoured by him and his drunken Irish rambling. I didn't think it was possible, but I love him even more than ever.
#5. Ben & Kahli's Six Month Anniversary.
It seems like a whole lot longer. But that's just because we live together. Celebrated with sunset picnic in Mowbray Park where we proceeded to be eaten alive by mosquitos. That was two days ago and my legs are still completely fucking itchy. I have twenty-one bites just on my legs alone. Ugh. But it was nice anyway. Still love him more than anything else with a pulse.
That's it.
Until next time I'm on the internet, which will probably be the next time I'm back on the Gold Coast, and I'm not sure when that's going to be.
