Valentines Day Rant
Ok here it is.
It pisses me off when people are all (must be said in whiny mocking voice) "Oh I don't celebrate Valentines Day, it's just a commercial holiday, my loved one and I express our love in our own time..." etc, etc, puke.
Let me say, FUCK OFF YOU FUCKING TWATS! FFS! If you're a materialistic dick, you're a materialistic dick regardless of the date. The same applies if you're not. Sensible intelligent folk don't just *poof* into commercial wankers when February comes around, or at least I don't.
I see Valentines Day as a day to celebrate love, not necessarily just romantic love. The love we share with family, friends, significant other's, whoever. So there's no need for singles to get their grump on. Man the fuck up and do something nice for one of your friends you twat! or yourself for that matter! Last year I made my mother heart shaped cookies with pink icing. This year Emerson and I made our friend Elise a whole bunch of personalised gift vouchers (nerdery, cooking, massage, etc). Both gifts made with materials I had already.
We all know we should tell people we care about how we feel more often, so what the fuck is wrong with a day dedicated to it?
