Looks a little like a Prawn. I love archaeology, too bad there is a distinct lack of good museums where I live.

As soon as my friends saw it, they yelled "CTHULHU!" and instantly suspected the Ancient Indians of being cultists of the old ones. I'm doing my dissertation on this culture, and i'm trying to weave this statue in somewhere without using too many words like "cthonic" or "cephallic".

Same here - where I live its all maritime museums D: Including one dedicated to a guy who helped the Americans invade.

One of these days I really need to get around to reading some of that Lovecraft Cthulhu stuff. Seems like 95% of everyone I know is into it so I feel like I'm missing something.

We have a small-ish armament museum that hasn't changed a bit since I started going there when I was like three years old. There's a bigger Navy Air museum an hour away and that is about it. Pretty lame. I was spoiled rotten during my semester in London with all of those museums.

It's worth it, but it's pretty slow-burning before it gets to the good stuff - it's taken me two years on and off to read two of his short stories, though not for want of trying. Or you could just do what I do and Wiki it, and make it through conversations with the occasional nod :)

Wiki sounds like a good idea. But slow reading doesn't bother me. Some of the best things I've ever read took a while to really pick up, and it was totally worth sticking with them.

Also, just spotted the Icon - HA! :D Close, although, would you believe it, those lumps on its head are supposed to be horns?
