Much like many of my "woe is me" posts, I am about to demonstrate what awful things you do when you're wasting time.
At least this time I have an excuse - due to miscalculating how long it would take for me to do an essay that was due five weeks earlier than I expected, I ended up practically planning and writing a 3,000 word essay in 24 hours, mostly fuelled on nothing more than a litre and a half of coffee and a bag of pistacios. The arse-clenching tedium of this realized I am slowly killing myself with stress, and not in a funny way. So for the next weekend I am taking a break from everything, before I get down to the business of writing almost 23000 words before the end of April. Hey, I said I had an excuse, not that it was a viable or even good one.
So how then to blow off steam in such a way that you'd all feel slightly repulsed at my crapulence.
Originally I was just going to post a reply to today's "What was your favourite movie of 2010" writer's block by going "I don't know, it's FUCKING MARCH",
but then I realized that there have been movies on, I just haven't been bothered enough to see them. Daybreakers and Book of Eli have passed me by, Alice in Wonderland I might go and see on my own if i'm bored, and Legion i'm waiting to see for free at the Uni Cinema (flatmates in high places) since it looks like it might be the right sort of diabolically bad to be entertaining.
So aside from comfort eating and taking catnaps in the afternoon that last until 10pm leaving me both tired and oddly awake, what have I been doing? Filing, that's what i've been doing. Good old filing. Namely sorting through the gigabytes of ebooks, TV shows and Pictures accumulating on my 1TB hard drive. A hard drive which I almost broke yesterday when I found out I had accidentally dipped the USB plug-in bit into a bowl of baked-bean juice causing me to electrocute myself in the mouth slightly
when I symbolically kissed it for good luck. While this sometimes leads to gems (I found two full-length documentaries about Anton LaVey I didn't know I had) this also means braving the fathomless depths of my "Pictures" folder. And trust me, there are some bad things in there. Unspeakably bad. How bad?

That Bad. Car-made-from-tits bad.
Speaking of tits, this includes sorting my...... unmentionables folder, which is suprisingly miserable work. Readily apparent were the pictures and videos that were saved when, gosh darn it, I was just lonely and horny and ready to take what i could get,
even if one of her.... other unmentionables was oddly larger than the other.
So aside from this, the other stuff from the last "aside from" bit, and stewing in a nest of my own filth and trying to find out why I get a really nasty sore throat in the evenings for some reason, what have I been doing? Mainly watching Charlie Brooker's Screenwipe (a man who I'm still not sure if I find funny or a complete cock),
and half a season of House. Since i'm not going through four and a half seasons of catchup when I get what's going on already, I just took it from when Kuthner died and House started hallucinating. That's uplifting telly for you.
Something actually uplifting to round off, though is Flash Forward is finally back, and once my flatmate's friend Carly comes back for another visit, since she's the only other fan of the show I know (or indeed know of), I'll watch it with her then. Until then I shall try not to implode into inanity.
