My dreams have been consisting of me being attacked by a lion and a bear, being chased by strange men while Will Smith and I try to escape by sliding down muddy hills into a lake, floating in a very deep yet narrow concrete body of water, stealing a pair of jeans from a girl I used to be friends with, and then giving her an unrecognizable birthday present.
Bears in dreams may represent a period of introspection and depression. However, this may be a part of a healing cycle, where the dreamer has retreated into his or herself in order to regenerate and in order to create something new and valuable in his or her life.
Folklore interpretations say that if you are looking at a chase or participating in it, you will have a comfortable old age. Although this may be comforting, there is a more realistic understanding of this activity in a dream. If you are being chased, maybe you are running away from or trying to escape those things that are frightening and unpleasant. On the deepest level, if a stranger is chasing you it may represent your chasing a part of yourself, the unconscious attempts to catch up with the conscious in order for you to become more aware of yourself and your own multidimensional nature.
If you are being attacked, then maybe you are feeling somewhat vulnerable in some area of your daily life.
Clothing generally represents the roles that we play in life and how others perceive us. If putting on pants or changing your pants, plays a major part in your dream you may be questioning your role at work, home, or in any other area of life. The physical look of the pants, who is wearing them, and the emotional content of the dream will give you clues to its meaning.
Floating in water can be symbolic of floating on top of your emotions and being in harmony with the unconscious. Floating usually represents your current feelings of peacefulness and general freedom. On a more negative note, floating could also be symbolic of your aloofness, lack of connection or a need to become more grounded. In order to interpret any dream appropriately some self-evaluation and honesty is required.
