I am no longer sick! :D My bf has an extension on his visa that lets him live here another year! \o/ My cat fell asleep in front of my wardrobe and now I can't get my work clothes :(

THINGS.

I really liked Watchmen. I did have problems with it, I'm so sad there was no vagina!squid and I don't really know what I think about the new ending, BUT IN THE END they left in Dan nakedly and forlornly staring at his costume and that's enough for me to like it anyway. lol Danwife

The new ending is a bit baffling in that it gives ground to the idea that Adrian is the smartest man in the world who has a plan that actually makes sense. Blaming everything on Dr Manhattan and making it a bunch of worldwide attacks makes sense because, idk, it just seems a little more of a longlasting idea to focus everything on Dr Manhattan than ~*~suspicious unknown aliens~*~ So I missed being able to go "Adrian you're a dick and your plan is stupid." OH ALSO not to underplay the amount of gore because holy shit at some points, but scouring entire areas of everything sort of removes you a bit from the horror of the comic's pictures. That obviously also has to do with the fact that you get to know the characters on the street and even the Bernies don't even get a line but yeah. I HAVE FORGOTTEN WHAT I WAS TRYING TO ARTICULATE. ALSO whilst I say it's baffling really it's just baffling in relation to the way I think of Veidt at the end, it actually works within the film and I don't mind it.

anyway how about that Dan Drieberg he was perfect guys amirite? :D? :D?

I really wished Rorschach's stupid smile or him jumping out of the fridge had been in it, but the human bean juice line was and JEH was amazing so whatever. I really wish Laurie had been handled so much better. Bubastis and Rorschach dying ;________;

OH AND I THINK ONE OF THE BEST THINGS ABOUT THIS FILM IS THAT HOLLIS DOESN'T DIE :D THERE'S NO SCENE OF HIM DYING SO HE DEFINITELY DIDN'T DIE AND THAT IS ABSOLUTE FACT HOORAY.

20th Century Boys I think this is my favourite adaptation of anything, apart from the Monster anime. I don't think I can even name anything wrong with it, everything about it is so right and good even to the point where everyone seriously does look like their manga counterparts. Kenji is amazingly wonderfully awesome and faily at just the right amounts in just the right way. AND HAHAHA that scene of everyone trying to deny Yukiji's strength and Yoshitsune agreeing with her *_____* my tiny blossoming love of Yukiji/Yoshitsune where did this even come from

I suppose it comes from having Urasawa so closely tied in with the movie, but I loved the way everything from the manga was represented so beautifully on screen. The robot really did look so crap, everyone's characters had depth etc etc. I am actually still over-excited about this movie even existing :D:

I had this plan of actually talking about shit but apparently I can't even do that about this film.

I'm halfway through Death Note! I wish women were a bit better represented in this, it's annoying. L looks constipated in 1 out of every 10 panels or so though LOLOLOL

Oh Suju your existence makes me happy.
