Over break I did a series of small painting studies that I was really proud of and excited about. My teacher came in today and told me "wow these are so nice, they're like little jewels containing their own world *pause*... only your color seems too arbitrary to invoke a mood, your space falls flat because of the lack of contrast of thickness of your paint and essentially they fail as paintings... you suck."

ouch.

It's almost over.
