[ Staring at him for a moment, she blinks once, then twice before drawing her knees against her chest, burying her face in the blanket. ]

[ Lifting her head, running her fingers through her loose hair with a sigh. ]

[ Wondering what all that is about, he leaves for a moment after excusing himself, before returning with a tray, covered properly with a light lunch meal to start her off, then arranges a bedside table from the stand next to her, working on that quietly. ]

You don't seem very happy with the turnout if it was nothing.

[ Since there was a lack of a brush for now she was combing through her hair lightly with her fingers as she waited quietly; it was always bothersome for her to tend to it so it was usually tied back. But when Vincent returned she smiled a little, as if to thank him. ]

I was just... surprised, that was all. When I was a child, I was well behaved and obedient, not that wild little nuisance running about the City!

Running about Xanadu all my own... Following after an angel and then trying to climb into the fountain isn't being a nuisance? I'm not sure if I would want to know what you would consider being a bother would be!

[ She was unable to hold back a laugh as she said that. The sight of the light meal sitting there reminded her that she had not eaten since yesterday and she really was hungry. After a moment of shifting and trying to untangle the bedsheets, she was settled and preparing to munch. ]

[ Holding the cup in mid-air a thought had struck her. ]

Is that why I was calling you 'Vin-nii-chan'?

[ That was amusing, yes, but compared to the kind of trouble children back home got into? She was practically an angel. ]

"Nii-chan"... that sounds...

[ Thinks for a bit, then tilts his head to a side. ]

Yuffie told me... that means 'older brother'... doesn't it?

[ Of course he had to ask this while she was in mid-bite of the sandwich. She made a little sound that could probably be translated as "Wait a moment..." as she chewed and swallowed. ]

Mhmm. It is a more familiar term, while saying "Nii-san" shows more respect.

[ Snorting lightly she took another bite. ]

[ Listening to her explanation, he wonders, then blinks, not getting why she would be disrespectful, before smiling a bit at her speaking with her mouth full. ]

... it's only natural. You can't be polite all the time.

[ Picking up a napkin, he hands it over to her. ]

Sorry. I'll wait until you're done. Tifa is making you some tea as we speak.

[ It was only natural for her to think these things most of the time; Growing up in such a well respected clan it was only expected of her. But this wasn't the past, it was the present. she accepted the napkin with one hand while waving his comment away with her other, though it still had a partially eaten sandwich half. ]

Don't worry about it, I can still talk. Besides, it's nice talking with a friend without a curse bothering everyone...

[ Then, she smiled. ]

I really do need to thank you and Tifa-san for this. It was kind of both of you.

[ At the mention of being a friend, he feels a gentle warmth within... he's finally learning to open up, definitely. And then, shaking his head, he turned to give her a gentle smile. ]
