A post w/o fic - it's like a man w/o a country
Shock of shocks, no new fic for y'all today. I've been hitting the books pretty hard, so there's been a lot of random 100 - 300 word mind clearing moments, but nothing to publish for the masses. Ho-hum.
I recently unearthed by CD collection from high school...and you guys... um. Well. I admit that I went to 3 *NSYNC concerts, but I also was a Stooges fan, so does that balance out? Concerts = just about my favorite event to attend (except for football games...if you hang around until next fall, you'll see what I'm talking about). I've seen tons of people - There was *NSYNC, of course. But I've seen John Mayer 3 times, Dave Matthews Band twice, Bush, STP, 3-6-Mafia (that was a weird one), Ani DiFranco, Coldplay, Jason Mraz, Weezer, Dashboard Confessionals, Guster, Tonic, Green Day, Blink-182, Debbie Gibson (that was hilarious), P-Diddy, Sisqo (okay, that's really the most hilarious)...God knows what I'm forgetting. And for the record, some of those were not my choice, but I still found a way to have fun. So, F-list, what was your favorite concert experience?
Mine's a three way tie between John Mayer (the second time), Green Day/Blink-182 (they toured together), and Coldplay. The John Mayer concert is a fave because my mom somehow wrangled backstage passes and I met John Mayer. I almost fell down in front of him, nearly faceplanted, but it was so worth it. Green Day/Blink-182 was great because I went with a huge group of friends when when graduated from high school. Crazy awesome hijinks insued. I just saw Coldplay about a month and a half ago, and they were just AMAZING. My boyfriend, who didn't even really know their music, and had never been to a real concert, had an awesome time. DMB the second time was pretty great, too, now that I think of it.
God, I love music. I wish I weren't total crap at making it!
