SQUEE!
I went to hand in my geography paper, thinking "augh, I've messed up this whole class. I'm going to have a 68 on my transcript... aauuuggghhh". I get there, go in to see the prof and it turns out he had entirely forgotten that I handed in my paper yet, and that he had only submitted my mark because there's some rule about having to submit marks within a few days of the final. He said it was no problem that my paper was late, and that he'd just change the grade.
He ALSO said that my exam was one of the best ones in the class... apparently I was one of the few who actually thought about the questions, rather than regurgitating information based on keyword recognition in the questions. WH00!
Apparently (this is kind of creepy) he not only knows my dad, but knows about my sister because his daughter is in a bunch of her classes. Out of the blue he just said "so how's your sister feeling about the chemistry final?". lol
Anyway, all is well. I mean, my essay was kind of a piece of crap and now I feel kind of bad about that, having done well on the final, but whatever. My methods were sound and my conclusions were completely backed up by the data. Everything was thoroughly referenced, nothing was bullshitted... it was just written badly. *shrug* I'd rather have a badly-written paper that has good substance than a well-written bunch of nonsense.
