er year...
Steel Of Fire Warriors is still shooting. Got another shot to go to in a minute. Working with Travis and Kevin is an interesting contrast to the 'professional' job I did this week.
I auditioned for a part in this in-house video for a local computer company. The concept was two guys are doing a sales pitch that isn't working so they decide to start rapping. So I rapped at the audition and did some goofy dancing.
I also mentioned that I was a semi-professional wrestler. THAT got me the part of the guy who dances on one leg on a chair and falls off onto the floor. Little did I know that at a 'pro' shot I would be required to take this fall dozens of times over the course of an hour or so. All for a 5 second clip that MIGHT be in the final production.
Compare that to Steel of Fire Warriors. For one scene, Travis and Kevin showed up at my house and we went down to my basement and shot my lines. It took like 5 minutes.
But I must say, the corporate gig paid well and had a way better craft service table than a
typical Travis and Kevin production. Also some of the other actors recommended me to their agent to try and get more commercial work.
Oh in between all the glamorous acting work, I did an audition for the Vancouver Comedy Festival last night. It went well but I didn't close as strongly as I'd like to. I referenced Chiliwack so hopefully the fest people will see that I "get" Vancouver.
Then me and the Bill Collectors had to jet(we actually took a jet) to the Funhouse to play with the Headliners and the Bugs. Fun show all around! Brian asked us to play live on KEXP next month so look forward to that!
Tomorrow I am headed to Tennessee for a little road trip with my lady. Talk to you later!
