there was a fire in my building today... i woke up slowly this morning, and while lying in bed reading i heard the fire alarm go off... i got up and got dressed, and went out into the living room... and started hearing sirens. gus was in the kitchen, so i went and talked to her, and we decided to go on the balcony. we gathered up pixie and bunny and went on the balcony, where we stayed for almost an hour. pixie was pretty funny out there.. she was not happy about being outside. anyways, after the alarm finally turned off, we went in and i opened the door to the hallway and it REEKED of smoke. apparently the fire was on the 3rd floor in a family's apartment, which is very sad. while we were on the balcony, we saw an ambulance leave our parking lot and head north on platt's... with sirens... i hope whoever that was is ok.
