So Bela Fleck and the Flecktones are coming to Oberlin in December and playing their final performance before a hiatus of indefinite length. Needless to say I'm very excited about the concert-- I bought tickets as soon as I heard they were on sale

Bela Fleck played a concert here a little while ago, and it was absolutely amazing. It was him and this incredible bass player alone on stage at the Fisher Center (the Gehry building on campus) and...the whole thing was just sublime. Enjoy the concert, man!

Victor Wooten?

Wooten is G-d's gift to the bass. Hell, he is a bass deity. I saw him with the rest of the Flecktones this summer-- I'm excited to see them again, especially in such a more intimate venue. My plan for now is to camp out the night before so I get front row seats, and then get Victor Wooten to come out and party with us afterwards.

Wooten is amazing...I was about 10 feet away from him, at the point where I was sitting...when I was standing, I was aboue 3. My ex nearly came all over himself.

Bass players. Pssssh.

Thanks, I definitely can't wait. I've seen Bela a few times-- he's awesome. I'm mostly excited to see Victor Wooten though (the incredible bass player you likely saw him with).
