Wow, I'm really disappointed with the Academy's choice of award nominees this year. Master and Commander up for Best Picture instead of Big Fish or Cold Mountain? I know I have yet to see either of the latter two films, but Master and Commander was such a pointless waste-of-money movie, and at least Big Fish looks imaginative and Cold Mountain looks like it could have some decent storylines and drama in it. And honestly, I even thought that Pirates of the Caribbean was a better made sea movie than Master and Commander. There are still a lot of movies on the list that I've yet to see; I'd better get cracking so I can form my own opinions about who should win.
**Correction: I just saw Big Fish and it was INFINITELY better than Master and Commander. *sigh*
Bahaha, I just saw that Return of the King is up for an award for film editing. Is that a joke?
