(no subject)
Well productivity is rewarding. This I have learned. I am in the library, and I had about an hour to kill so I decided to write my abstract. (I must add that this decision was heavily aided by my friends). Next: it really isn't too bad. The semester is beginning to wind down and I am beginning to slowly feel the pressure.
Had a big wake up call with oboe yesterday. I am old enough to need to be on my own. Shannon was a little cranky at me for not finishing my concert reed. Ouch. It went like this. Me: "Hi"
S: "Hi"
M: "ok, his one is almost done, I think the tip just needs a little help."
S: "Then why didn't you finish it?"
M: (feeling=ouch...) "um, I was too afraid? I mean it's for the concert"
S: (silence) (insert sound of knife scraping on reed)....
So I felt a little nervous, because apparently I'm really on my own here. And the reed she finished wasn't even really that great. So I am going to play the Beethoven on something that is only somewhat mediocre. Sad... Don't realy know how that is going to go. But you should all come to the Berg/Beethoven Orchestra concert tonight. It should be mighty good! Horray. Anyway, next I should say that next semester is beginning to look up. I think I'll only have 18 credits...shit. But lots and lots of time on Tuesdays and thursdays. And I only have 3 classes monday and wednesday and only TWO on Fridays! Exciting!! And then I'll be done at like 2:50, except then comes work. I might have to start working again. That really sucks. Any ideas on how I can nicely quit? without her hating me? Give me some ideas. Perhaps I just say my psyche is unstable. Which is not entirely a lie. I mean let me tell you 19 credits, 5 students, and a job has pretty much been kicking my ass. I mean I would sure like to only have 18 credits and 5 students. It seems nice ya knw? pretty appealing. Anyway I need to go meet some friends b/f Wind Ensemble. Oh yea,
COME TO THE WIND ENSEMBLE CONCERT ON SUNDAY! and oh yeah COME TO THE ORCHESTRA CONCERT TONIGHT IN MBR 8:00. SEE YOU THERE!!!
