Work Sucked Today!!!!!
OMG! I don't like ranting very often, but I must! Work started off so slow, they pretty much had me doing completely inane tasks just to occupy me because we had too many people. Then finally, once my one wish was granted - to be able to get outta the backroom and stock out on the floor, I had the customers from hell. "we want this canopy that's in the add for 69.99 that is 10X10... Well, all I can find here is the one that is 11X11 and is 34.99" Would you not take the BIGGER ONE that's CHEAPER??? Ofcourse not if you are stubborn and old like that. GRRR. So I go find some help, and that takes me about 10 minutes to do, I get completely blown off by a manager I ask - who comes by 30 minutes later to see if I still needed the help. I just calmely said "no, I took care of it, thanks though." and went on about my business. After stocking sports, I stocked back to school. I feel soo sorry for parents who have to follow these lists made by teachers - oh, and for myself because I have to help find the stuff. Who needs a 2 subject notebook!? I don't think that they exist; oh, and a stencil pad??? I just wanted to stand on a box and shout "Your children won't have to use half this stuff anyway, so really it's not worth the bother." or something to that effect. Ofcourse I restrained myself and went on looking for the 2 subject notebooks and stencil pads - to no avail. Finally, with 30 minutes left, I'm in the back breaking down boxes with the 2 other people who were working backroom - oh, who started with me two weeks ago. So, with noone around, we just broke down the boxes, looked around for something to do, found nothing that we knew about, so we just kinda cleaned up until it was time to go. BLAH. I can't wait for Wednesday and Thursday... then the next day that I have off.
It's a good thing that I had a wonderful morning, or else I would be COMPLETELY crazy right now. Jason came over around 10 this morning and we took his cars to get the stereo out of the old one and put in the new one. Then we almost got his oil changed, but then didn't because the wait was too long. So we went to O'Charlies for Potatoe soup and rolls (mmmm) and then back to my place to hang out for a bit before he went to bed. Jason makes my days soo good. He leaves soon - this saturday actually, and that makes me sad. But he'll be back to visit often I hope, and I'll go down there too when I can. I could go to Kings Island with he and his friends tomorrow, but I gotta work. Boo. Oh well - Wednesday is our day together 'cause neither of us work then, and apparantly I already have plans for Friday night - so now I have atleast two days to which I can look forward. :)
