Today was ok for a Monday. I am now not only an oboe teacher to my student but a babysitter from 3:30-5:30 on Mondays, for him and his sister. Which, considering how self-sufficient they are, isn't bad. Plus their parents always pay me for the month in advance which means I was able to get a significant sum to save up for spring break today.
I treated myself to a new CD and then put the rest away in my account. I finally broke down and bought
Graham Coxon's new CD which I had already downloaded about half of and was starting to feel guilty. Not to mention that nobody on limewire seems to like Graham Coxon, and the ones that do have corrupted tracks. It's a good album though.
Speaking of Coxon, I wish Blur would just get their act together and put out a new album this year, instead of Damon messing around with his
Gorillaz project. There's not much point in it, most of the songs just sound like hip-hopified Blur, which is all fine and dandy except that hip-hopified Blur is kind of weird. And it's not like nobody can figure out it's him. You can hear the resemblence in the musical setting in Blur songs like "Trailer Park" and Damon, in my opinion, has one of the most recognisable voices in pop.
I'm rambling.
Tonight is a good TV night. American Idol followed immediately by 24. It's really the only night I watch that much TV. But it's bad because tonight, although I have no hwk due tomorrow, I should be practicing and making reeds for my lesson tomorrow. And I have to get to orch a half hour early tomorrow so I know I'll be regretting putting it off when the time comes.
I haven't anything more to say.
