Today I found myself at a serious lack for any word that means "I heard you" without implying that the answer received is "alright" or "okay" or "fine".

Maybe you could just say "I heard what you said" and just make sure it isn't in an edgy/defensive type of tone? (The kind of tone that I find myself using a lot...)

You could just go "mmm...", and then no one expects anything, right?

Also, I have prom pictures for you. I need to give them to you through messenger, or something. Or... Email?

gotta pull a 180 and say

"OMG GAWD STOP YELLING AT ME YOU CREEP!!" and the RIP HIS/HER FACE OFF!!

See no implications of anything being "alright" or "okay" wait you only wanted one word... damn that's a prickly one... i guess u can drop the f-bomb really loudly or just scream fire... the middle finger is nice... sign language requires no words... I just blew my mind
