Yet another update! Spawned from boredom. I need to figure out how to decorate my art show. To those of you not familiar with the infamous "art shows," each art student puts one on at the end of the year for an inspector from "the organization". The point is to impress him, so he writes nice things about us in his notepad. My theme (which applies to some, not all, pieces... unless I do some high-quality BSing and figure out how to make it apply to ALL of my pieces) is "things that aren't what they appear". JRo had the excellent idea of simply serving food (food is required too, by the way) that is not what it appears; Chris at work has agreed to teach me to make fun little garnish things that will resemble things that they are not. (Who would want to use a melon as a garnish if it still looked like a melon?) But as far as decorating the actual show goes, I don't know. My location is the tennis courts. Ideas, por favor?
Mrs. Hall is an amazing person. I think I'm going to ask my mother which art pieces of mine she likes the most, and take pictures of all the others, and show them to Mrs. Hall and ask her if she'd like to have any of them. I don't know what else I could do to show my appreciation for her fabulous teaching and her fabulous personhood. That is not a word.
