i actively convince people to do otherwise! i had a rant going on how easy it is for us to save the planet and still live in realitive comfort. damn gluttons.

personally i'm not down with shoving my beliefs down the throats of others. likewise i won't get on your case just becasuse of your beliefs...er lack of. i'm agnostic, no worship, still believe in a presence, man woman, buddha, multi armed elephant or short dinosaur thing (a la southpark). i accept everyone and i respect their views. it's kinda annoying when an over zealous atheist goes out of they're way to disprove every single line in the bible almost as annoying as baptists trying to "convert" me...

george washington tried his best to keep such a systme from rising, sadly i think human nature will not ever permit us from destroying it. to say you are neither undeniably makes you an idiot. there's always a side to chose even if you stick very close to the middle. there's always that ONE thing that makes you lean closer to the other end of the spectrum.

who in the hell says eating mock meat is the same as stabbing new born puppies in the eye?! freaks the lot of 'em perhaps the lack of protein drove them to such extremes?? some times being a vegan brings down the white blood cell count maybe they're just delusional from lack of proper nutrients.

Yeah, atheists are often just as bad as religious folk when it comes to wanting to convert. I think it's all pretty silly--spiritual beliefs are highly personal and, while encouraging one to question things isn't necessarily bad, encouraging them to ditch their beliefs entirely is rather vulgar.

Eh, I think I worded the political part poorly. I DON'T believe that there is only left or right. I think that's a very American way of thinking. Because America has a two party system and deems everyone blue or red, a lot of people have come to believe that there is no other way of thinking about politics. I tend to think that the system is a sham and that people can, and should, rise above "left" and "right".

There were some folks in a vegetarian community who were freaking the hell out that someone wanted to color easter eggs. That's where it started, and it ended with them saying that anything that resembled meat or was meant to take the place of meat might as well BE meat. I think the reasoning was much like the Christian idea of mental adultery, which I also find silly.

I don't want to knock vegans as a whole, though. I highly respect them, in fact. Someday I may even make the transition myself, but I hope that I never become extreme about anything!

all that over easter eggs?! haha wow...

my stance on political scales are strange. people say my thinking falls a bit to the left, but i've always considered myself to be purple. for instance i don't like abortion i do think it's murder, but i don't think we should outlaw it because it's the woman's body and therefore her right to make the decision. plus there are occassions in which it is necessary like a bad home situation, or possible death because of the pregnancy etc etc...like i said we can't really do away with it all together. i do agree with you though; people do need to think beyond the barrier of left right red blue. if your limited to that, you probably haven't formed your own opinion in the first place.
