"I'm getting a what?"

"A bodyguard."

Tao looks at his boss as if the older's crazy. And, really, Joonmyun might be at this point.

And, okay, so maybe Tao is a famous actor and so maybe he got a few creepy letters about how somebody's going to kill him. But that's not a reason to get him some random bodyguard. He knows how to take care of himself, he knows wushu, he can take down anybody.

"You're getting one," Joonmyun repeats and Tao ignores how he's obviously not going to take any disagreement, but he doesn't get to argue. "He's actually waiting outside."

Tao grimaces.

"Mama, really, I don't nee-"

"Jongdae, let Sehun-sshi in," Joonmyun says to his phone, not even looking at Tao and not letting him finish.

Tao keeps glaring at Joonmyun. He has no interest in whomever is going to come in, he doesn't want anybody, he can take that guy, even if he's some ridiculously muscled freak, he-

The thought cuts off as the guy approaches them and Tao glances at him.

- he could take him down with one hand and his eyes closed.

Tao blinks and looks around the room. Is he really the one, the bodyguard that Joonmyun wants him to have? This guy? Him? This scrawny, rainbow-haired boy?

"Mama! What- He- How?" Because the kid is just... so kiddy. How did Joonmyun get him? Why? What can the guy do besides being careful while the wind is awful, so he doesn't fall over?

"Tao baby, that's Sehun-sshi. He's going to be your bodyguard. And a part-time manager. Yixing wanted his holiday for some time already, so it's a good moment. And Sehun-sshi will help us pretending to be Yixing's usual role, just so nobody's alarmed by his presence," Joonmyun explains.

Alarmed by the guy's presence? Tao glances at the Sehun dude again. A kid in the kindergarten wouldn't be alarmed by him.

"I still think-" Tao tries to say, but he stops, when he sees the look Joonmyun sends him. The older's still kind of smiling, but Tao's known him long enough to know the rare moments, when Joonmyun's got enough of your bullshit, so you better stop. So Tao stops. He's going to keep hating the idea and finding it dumb, though.

"Sehun-sshi," Joonmyun turns to look the guy. "Tao is the one you'll be taking care of." Tao snorts at the choice of words. "I hope you remember all we talked about and what was explained to you?" Sehun nods quickly. "Here, Yixing's plans for Tao's schedule, the cellphone and some more notes."

"Thank you." Sehun bows slightly, taking the folder.

Tao frowns at how cute the guy even sounds.

Joonmyun seems to want to say something more, but Jongdae pokes his arm.

"Hyungie. The meeting," he whispers loudly in a tone that Tao finds pretty weird.

"Oh, right." Joonmyun grins happily at Jongdae and looks back to the two guys in front of him. "I'm sorry, boys, but I'm going to be busy now. You'll have to get to know each other on your own. But you're big now, you don't need anybody supervising you," he says, pointing at the door in very, very obvious way.

Tao's pretty sure it's a nice way of Joonmyun's to say "Go away. Now. Shoo. He glances at Sehun to see, if he's buying the excuse with the meeting, and it seems like Sehun is, because he's smiling and saying how it's not a problem and he understands.

How is Tao supposed to even respect the guy at least a bit, if he believed that?

Tao shakes his head. Whom Joonmyun has chosen, he has no idea.

When they're out of the room, Sehun smiles at Tao with that cute, innocent smile of his.

"So, I'm Sehun. Let's work nicely together." He holds out his hand to Tao, who only glances at it and nods briefly.

"Yeah. I'm Tao," he says flatly and almost isn't sorry for little look of confusion and hurt that appears on Sehun's face and disappears as quickly.

Tao keeps looking at the guy blankly, but as he's taking his hand back, Tao gets an idea. So he quickly catches Sehun's hand and makes one of the easiest, most basic moves to undo the opponent.

It takes Tao a second and pretty much no effort to have Sehun pushed against the wall face first, with the guy's hand painfully put on his back. He snorts, because that was just too easy.

"Ouch, ouch, Tao, let go, please~"

Tao snorts again, because the guy is pretty much whining. So he lets go, staring at Sehun, because, really? Really?

This is his bodyguard?

How? Can this dude even guard his own candies? Tao wouldn't be so sure.

"What was that for?" Sehun pouts at Tao, massaging his wrist with his other hand.

"Nothing. Sorry." Tao shakes his head. It's just hopeless.

So he just starts walking, guessing Sehun will follow. And Sehun does, quickly catching up with Tao, and glances at him.

"How much do you want to bet Joonmyun-sshi is doing Jongdae-hyung on his desk at this very moment?" Sehun grins.

Tao looks at Sehun in surprise.

Okay, so maybe the guy isn't that stupid. Maybe he's just good at looking stupid.

"I say it's the coffee table," Tao answers.

Sehun frowns. He had his tea put on that table, when he first met Joonmyun. He doesn't want them to have sex on that table. It's an innocent table.

Tao chuckles. Too bad he's not playing with Sehun at the moment.

*

Tao's staring at the front window of the car, grimacing. He's so not happy at the moment there's not even a word for it.

Next to him, in the driver's seat, there's Sehun, who's talking with the navigation and he's also angry.

Except, he's not as angry as Tao. Because all of this is Sehun's fault. Because it has been barely a day of Sehun's constant, annoying presence (Joonmyun decided it'd be the best, if Sehun lived at Tao's house), barely a day of the guy trying(!) to pretend to be a manager and he's been failing nonstop.

Just like right now. They were supposed to go to a recording five minutes away from the previous one and they've been in this stupid car for over fourty minutes.

"Recalculating."

"I did turn right, you stupid shit! I go exactly as you say, shut up!"

*

"Tao, I just got you an interview for Monday next week," Sehun says, grinning like it's the first thing he's done right.

(It is.)

Curious Tao approaches the other and glances into the planner, ignoring all the pretty and happy drawing Yixing has created among the schedule.

(So there's still not even one.)

"It's Saturday." Tao points at the day at the top. Then he moves a few pages back. "Monday is all full."

Sehun makes a strangely cute mix of a pout and frown.

*

Tao's got his evening off, so he's definitely planning on enjoying it and having just so much fun it's unhealthy.

Which is how he ends up on his couch, the remote in his hand and lazily going through channels, some snacks on the coffee table. There's nothing interesting on television, though, so it's pretty boring.

Old-looking movie. Some child happy about putting her drawing on the fridge. Weird movie. Some old drama. A lady with her fridge full of make up stuff that chooses a dress of color that looks bad on her. Some historical drama. Women dancing to annoying song and singing about taking a loan. Some drama he doesn't know. A guy making an old lady dance with him out of nowhere. Animated sharks swimming in the floor.

Nope. Just nope.

And the 'music' channels are starting, so Tao doesn't expect anything better.

Some butts. Some barely dressed boobs. Pregnant underaged girl. Another girl unhappy with the car she's got. Some lame ass dude thinking he's cool-

"Wait."

Something suddenly jumps at Tao, his sleepiness disappearing at that.

"What?" he squeaks, trying to figure out why there's Sehun on him out of nowhere.

"Go back," Sehun puffs at him. Tao blinks. "The channel, Tao. Change it back." Tao stares. Then he frowns.

"No way."

Sehun huffs and then suddenly steals Tao's remote, changing the channel before Tao can react.

"Duuuude," Tao can't stop himself from whining. It can't be true, he can't be living with such a person.

"So awesome," Sehun says, grinning, while staring at the tv.

Tao frowns harder.

"The song maybe isn't that bad. But-" He doesn't even know how to finish the sentence.

"The songs is amazing, not 'not that bad'. And Justin-hyung is just mind-blowingly amazing," Sehun explaing like it's the most obvious thing in the world. He shakes his head at Tao, like he thinks the guy might be crazy and a little bit pitiful for not knowing that.

Tao stares, but when he tries to steal the remote back, Sehun just throws it away somewhere far away in the room, where he knows Tao is too lazy to move and too much under him.

Tao sighs sadly.

"Justin-hyung, ah." Sehun smiles happily at the screen.

*

"Ge," Tao whines at his laptop. "Sehun's just... Ge." Tao can't with that guy.

On the screen Yifan sighs. There's not much he can do to help. He also found the idea of Tao getting a bodyguard like that quite strange, but he believes that if Joonmyun thinks it's needed, there's no reason for them to whine and just accept it, just to be safe.

Besides, he's abroad and shooting a movie. So he can't help even more. Tao'll survive.

"He can't be that bad, right?" Yifan asks. He hasn't even talked with the guy, but he's sure the guy isn't as terrible as Tao makes him to be.

Except then he hears somebody passing by the room Tao's in and singing happily.

"-I was like baby, baby, baby, ooooh. Like-"

Yifan frowns.

"Is that Sehun a twelve year old girl or what?"

Tao snorts, because Sehun has moments when he is.

"Yeah, he might as well be." He laughs, happy that Yifan thinks like this.

"So you fit together." Yifan grins, delighted that he's too far away for annoyed Tao to hit him.

Tao can only glare.

*

Tao watches Sehun turns down the volume of the radio in the car and talk with a security man that's supposed to let them in. Sehun introduces them, shows the guy the paper he needs to. They get in quickly. They're just on time as they were supposed to.

But even though the day has been going smoothly, Sehun hasn't screwed anything yet, Tao is annoyed. He's very annoyed and he's pissed and he feels like choking Sehun.

Who, as they're walking out of the car, smiles at Tao, proud of doing everything right today. The smiles falls slightly, when he notices the other's bad mood.

"What's wrong?" Sehun asks worriedly. Is he forgetting something? He started spending more time on things just to be sure everything's okay. He's been really trying hard to get things right.

Tao snorts at him.

"I have this stupid song stuck on my mind," he pretty much growls at Sehun.

Sehun thinks for a moment what song, why would one make Tao so mad, how. But then he remembers singing one especially happily accompanied by especially annoyed sounds from Tao.

"I knew you'd grow to like Justin-hyung." Sehun grins. He's delighted. Nobody can resists his Justin-hyung's power.

"I don't like- Wait, isn't he younger than me?" Tao suddenly realizes. "Why do you call him hyung but not me?"

Sehun only laughs, shrugging his arms.

And, well, Justin-hyung is Justin-hyung, so, duh.

*

As much as Sehun might be getting not as bad at the temporary manager part, he still sucks at the bodyguard one a lot.

One can definitely notice that on the airport, when it's Tao who ends up dragging through and protecting Sehun from the crowd of crazy fans. Like, really, he doesn't understand why they can't make a way for Tao and the people with him. If they're fans, shouldn't they be more helpful and reasonable, not trying to get a feel of his thigh or injure him and other people at times? That's not the right behavior towards somebody you're supposed to like.

But, yeah, with Sehun it takes Tao a bit longer to get out of the airport and to the car. Fortunately, Sehun isn't the one driving that day, as they just rented one with somebody to work it, because he seems to be a little bit shaken up by the whole chaos that just happened.

Sehun looks worriedly at Tao.

"I think somebody touched my butt," he says weakly. He so wasn't ready for that.

Tao only pats his arm. He knows how that feels.

"I know, it sucks," Tao answers. It sounds a bit awkward even to himself, because, from the little bits he might've accidently noticed at times, Sehun's butt looked pretty nice and touchable. And firm. And hot. And pretty damn perfect. But Tao doesn't stare whenever he can, nope.

"I don't like random people touching my butt." Sehun pouts.

Tao wonders if he's not random.

*

Another day comes and goes and turns out pretty uneventful. That's a first, so Tao's a bit annoyed. He got used to things being more fun and complicated with Sehun.

Wait, no. Sehun broke a cup full of tea in the morning. One from that lovely set Tao's got, the six cups covered in cute pandas. Well, now it's five cups.

That's not cool. And Tao decides he's going to be annoyed by that.

But Sehun seems to have forgotten about that and looks pretty proud of himself for making the day go properly. And now, as they're going back home, he doesn't even have to drive and he's just sitting on the back seat together with Tao and being cute.

"Tao-hyungie~?"

Tao doesn't react for a moment, because he's not sure who it is for. And how. He blinks a few times, before he realizes it might be about him, but the only person beside him in the car, who isn't the unknown driver, is Sehun and since when Sehun calls him hyung, he doesn't.

But he glances towards the guy and Sehun is looking right at him like he wants something.

"Let's go for bubble tea, hyung~" Sehun says excitedly.

Tao frowns at him. Mostly at the hyung, but also because it's late and he's tired and he just want to go home and eat and rest and just relax. No going out.

"Tao-ge~" Sehun pouts at the older.

Tao blinks. He's not sure what to do about the cuteness. He doesn't want to give in. He knows the only reason he's hearing the hyungs and even the ge is Sehun trying to be cute. He's not suceeding, bubble tea is not happening, they're going home and that's final.

"No." Voice firm, Tao nods, because he's not changing his decision.

*

"Thank you, Tao-ge~"

Sehun smiles cheerfully at Tao twenty minutes later as he's sipping his favorite chocolate bubble tea.

"Yeah, yeah, whatever." Tao only keeps staring into the distance, annoyed with himself. How did he give in? How?

"A strawberry?" One suddenly appears in front of Tao's face, who blinks and glances to the side.

The bubble tea shop they went to were selling fruits as well. So they bought some. Well, Tao did.

But since Sehun seems to be trying to give him some of the strawberries and even feeding them to him, Tao doesn't mind as much.

Tao only opens his mouth, smiling already.

*

Tao is sleeping soundly and happily and dreaming about lovely stuff that no, of course not, it doesn't have any Sehun in it, nope, when a sudden sound awakens him.

He opens his eyes and freezes.

There's somebody standing next to the bed and pointing a gun right at Tao's head.

Tao's whole body stops. His mind stops, his breathing stops, his heart stops. He can't think, he can't do anything.

The only thing he knows is that he's about to die like this. And it's such a terrifying thought that he doesn't even notice, when somebody appears behind the guy with a gun, a knife to his neck.

"I think not," Tao hears a whisper, which he knows pretty well and that doesn't help, because now he's even more terrified, because something might happen to Sehun as well. He'd rather have that happen only to himself.

But it happens when he blinks, Tao's sure, because suddenly the guy is pushed up against the wall and Sehun's holding both the gun and knife and pointing those at the guy.

"Tao, can you please turn the light on and call the police?" Sehun says and his voice surprises Tao as it's all calm and serious and kind of hot even.

Tao quickly does those things, still staring at Sehun through the whole time.

*

About thirty minutes later Tao's sitting on his bed, watching Sehun talk with a policeman. It's simply mind-blowing, the sudden change, the serious attitude, the thing Sehun's done before, like how, really.

But soon enough all the policemen, the guy wearing a mask, everybody leave Tao's apartment and he's alone with Sehun again, who's still wearing that hot aura and Tao doesn't know what to do with that.

"Sehunnie?" he decides to start like this. Then he pats the place next to him on the bed awkwardly, hoping the other will get what he means.

Sehun sits next to him.

"What was that?" is the next thing Tao says.

"Well, I'm your bodyguard. Wasn't that what I was supposed to be doing?" Sehun asks, raising his brow at Tao.

Sehun should really stop with the hot seriousness, because that makes other things difficult to focus on.

"Yeah, but... How?" Tao doesn't understand. All he remembers is the Sehun that failed at following the directions and arguing with the navigation, getting excited about the bubble tea, having to be protected from the crowd by Tao, getting owned by Tao with the simplest move. But this? When did this came from?

"Well, I might not be the best at your stuff, the kungfu things-"

"Wushu," Tao corrects, frowning slightly, because he's been telling that to Sehun so many times.

"- but I'm pretty good at others. Like, you know, guns. Knifes. Poles. Whatever." Sehun shrugs.

Tao stares.

"You're the one good at kungfu stuff-"

"Wushu."

"- so Joonmyun-sshi decided he'd rather find somebody good at other things."

Okay, that makes sense, but Tao still stares.

They both keep staring for a little while, when Sehun coughs awkwardly.

"You should go back to sleep, Tao. It's late," he says, the hot aura somehow still there.

Tao glances to his pillows and back to Sehun.

"Sleep with me," slips out of his mouth, before he can even think it through. On one hand after he just got attacked like that in his own bed, it's kind of weird to just go back to sleep like that, so Sehun would help. On the other hand, though, well, sleeping with Sehun just seems like a lovely idea, because, hm, Sehun.

The hot aura disappears the moment Sehun blinks at Tao, surprised. Tao doesn't mind, though. He likes the cute one very much as well.

But the confused blinking stops soon and Sehun starts grinning.

"One condition."

Tao raises his brow.

"What?"

"I get a kiss," Sehun says with the most annoying grin Tao's seen on his face yet.

Tao snorts.

"Okay."

"I want lots."

"Okay."

Tao takes Sehun's hand and pulls him closer. He can definitely live with that one condition, thank you very much.

*

"The whole thing is solved now, thankfully. So you don't need the bodyguard. And Yixing is back from his holiday." Joonmyun smiles cheerfully at Tao.

Tao frowns.

"How about I keep him? You know, just in case?" Tao asks. He glances to Sehun sitting next to him and drinking his tea calmly; though, the guy took it from surprised Jongdae as quickly as he could, preventing the other from putting the cup on the table, which only made Tao laugh.

Now Joonmyun frowns. Jongdae looks at Tao curiously. Yixing just keeps sipping his tea, not really caring that much, he's still too relaxed after all the holiday he's had, and he's not exactly that happy to be back at work.

"Keep him?" He doesn't understand. "But it's safe now. The police has got the guy."

"But you never know, right? Better safe than sorry?"

Joonmyun only gets more confused. Yeah, Sehun's done a great job, but keeping him? Tao was the one against the whole idea at the beginning, so what?

"Let's just hope such a thing won't happen again, yeah?"

Jongdae sighs from his place next to Joonmyun.

"They're fucking," he explains, not even trying to be quiet about that.

Joonmyung gapes at Jongdae, then at Tao. Yixing chokes on his tea and starts coughing (though, Tao isn't sure, if he was listening and got surprised or just swallowed wrong on the appropriate time).

Tao is pretty sure that he blushes, because did Jongdae really have to say it like that. It's true, yeah, but he likes things being said more subtly. And he likes thinking about the things he does with Sehun as of something more than just fucking.

It's not that bad, though, because he feels a hand sneaking to hold his palm and fingers intertwining with his own. Tao glances at smiling Sehun and smiles back.

Yeah, Tao's definitely keeping him.
