You know...you keep wanting respect for you being an atheist but you fail completely at respecting those who have a religion. Kind of Hypocritical, don't you think??
And...you also forget that this nation was built on the freedom of religion. IT WAS BUILT ON RELIGION! The first pilgrims left England because they were not able to worship the way they wanted so they left. So deal with this country having Religious ties. It's what made this country.
Again, it just seems like you're against God because it's some trend. Because you refuse to listen. I remember when u and I first met, you asked if I would date a non-Christian. I said yeah....well....now that I think about it, No I wouldn't. You date people that share in the same indulgences as you do. So more than likely you'll date an atheist (b/c you'll be bashing the girl's religious stand when she brings up..lots of fights...no good).
I agree with you though...that most Christians are bad when it comes to telling others about God. They make Him look like strict, non-fogiving, "out to get you" god. When that is not the case. Who WOULD want to serve a God that is never happy with you? understandable. These Christians are trying to play God and tell the world's people what God wants....ok....how do they know what He wants or not. They don't. They all just read the Bible and interpretted THEIR (keyword) way OR they just listened to the mainstream belief.
