It's good to hear that the ticking has stopped, along with your fish staying alive. Things are looking up, it seems.

Looks that way. Did you stop the ticking with a fish, too?

Ah, I considered it, but I ended up accidentally adopting a cat. If she leaves me though, I'll probably get a few fish then.

... How do you accidentally adopt something?

Well, it's an interesting story.

I found this cat who could use the Network, and she needed a home, so I sort of took her in. After a while, I suppose I got used to her, and a mutual bond was formed between us.

Your cat can use the Network? ... Is it a mutant cat?

No. She's just very clever and curious. I was a bit surprised myself, but then again...anything can happen here in the City.

I didn't know cats could think enough to use the Network.

No. Not anything.

Some animals actually have quite a bit of intelligence.

Oh? Your thoughts on the matter?

Enough to type?

Not really. It just wouldn't make sense if everything were possible.

Scientific studies have shown that some animals can type, or perform other human-like tasks.

...I see. It's true that no one can be perfect. However, people fail to realize that the barriers preventing them from reaching goals are no other than themselves. Possibilities are endless, to those who put forth the effort.

Can. Doesn't mean they usually would.

Well, I guess that's true.

Indeed, but not impossible either way.

Take it for what you will. We all have some form of potential within us, however, it all comes down to what path we choose to walk.

Why're you telling me this?

monochrome_mind October 16 2008, 02:39:40 UTC
Ah, no reason in particular. Just a few things for you to think about, if you so wish to.

obliviomancy October 16 2008, 02:40:58 UTC
Yeah, but why would it matter if I think about them? Or do you tell everyone things like that?
