RESIDENCY

Residency.

The citizens of the Hotel Oblivion city have lived here for a long while. Some are aware they are not in their "home" world while others think they've always lived here and hold memories of growing up in this city. It's very confusing and most likely annoying for the Hotel Guests. Yet, they get used to it. The citizens have fallen into a normal routine and are unperturbed by the Hotel Guests popping up or the explosions coming from the factory at the edge of town. It's just life to them, and if you've done something for a long while to change would almost be blasphemy.

> The Meat District.

The City is pretty average for a city, it's the residents that make it interesting. There are three large districts in the city, comprising of where the residents of the city live. First, is the meat district. The largest powerhouse of goods in the City. Working class families live on the inner part of it while the outskirts have factories and the like. There is one large warehouse near the edge of it, the fog eerily lurking near the doors of the factory. Sometimes there are explosions heard from inside, but nobody dares venture forward.

Here is where the werewolves live.

> The Theatre District.

It is called the 'theatre' district even though it is more of an arts district. All types of poets, writers, actors, painters, and the like live here. It's on the direct opposite side of town from the Meat district and is mostly active at night. Why?

Because this is where the vampires live.

>> Locations.

There is a large theater called "The Aulaeum" in the middle of this district. It is deserted, or rather "haunted". Some rebellious vampires lurk around here, ready to feed on any unsuspecting civilian. Perhaps a Hotel Guest will exterminate the infestation one day?

> The Medical District.

The Medical district is neutral territory. This is where the dogs come to lick their wounds, the bloodsuckers come to feed (on hospital provided bags, of course), and the aliens come to watch.

The main (read: only) medical hospital in this city is one called Saint Ben's Hospital for Unfortunate Accidents, usually shortened to Ben's. Most living quarters here are for the doctors and nurses, and are scattered around the district. There is also a psychiatric hospital called Saint Vanya's Hospital for the Disturbed, usually shortened to the V.

Aliens live here and some have even taken the role as Hospital staff.

>> Locations.

There is a large park here. The river that flows through the middle of the city goes through the park. There is also a baseball field in the park, a dog run, and large rocks to climb and sit upon. There is even a large grassy field called the great lawn where people come to relax and doctors come to have lunch sometime.

> The City.

As mentioned above, there is a large river going throughout the city. It disappears into the fog on both ends. Some boats travel around it, and there is a ferry that goes from one end of the river (the Meat district) to the other end (the Theatre district). There are also a few bridges that connect one side to the other along the river.

The rest of the city is a pretty much normal city, with some shopping areas and apartment buildings around. There is a train system in place in the city, a few underground and overhead trains connect from point A to point B. Do not try to leave the train while underground, you will most likely die. There are also few townhouses in the wealthy part of the city (near the Medical district) and there is even a University in the middle of the city too. This university is called Saint Luther's Academy for Knowledge and it also has elementary, middle, and high schools affiliated with it. The Hotel Guests can come here for classes and jobs if they'd like.

> The Hotel.

The Hotel is a large, imposing building with never ending floors and hallways. The top of the building seems to disappear into the fog over the city. There is a parking garage of sorts next to the building where the Hotel Guests may leave their cars in designated parking spots. If a Guest does not know how to drive, there are lessons given by the DMV around the end of each month.

The Town Hall resides a few blocks away from the Hotel, and the mayor seems to live here even though he is rarely seen. So, it would require a great deal of luck to talk to him. His assistant is there daily though, and all messages to him go through her first.

To book a room in the hotel, please head to the guest list entry.
