Curiosity killed the cat; be cautious when looking into things.

Like many things, curiosity's good in moderation. I couldn't agree more with you. It's also said, that satisfaction brought the cat back.

Very true; spoken like a true scholar. It's nice to know there are still people out there who truly think their actions through.

I'd hope it would be the majority, but that might be too... 'hopeful'. Many people on this ship seem fairly logical, however. I'm not too concerned.

[She laughs, unconvinced.]

Then there are more logical souls here then there are at home; perhaps I'll like it better.

Who am I speaking to, by the way? I'd like to put names to all the voices I encounter on this crazy ship.

My name is Zelda. I'm sorry for not introducing myself earlier.

[She pauses, thoughtful for a moment...]

You sound familiar to me. Are you sure you're new?

Zelda; that's pretty, and rather unique.

[That makes her pause as well; perhaps this one remembers her being here as well.]

I'm sure; just got here a day ago, haven't left my room yet. I've been told that I've been here before, though; m'Sarea.

Sarea. Yes. You were here before. Although, it seems that you, like anyone else who comes and goes, that you don't recall.

We were friends of a sort. Birds of a feather, you might say.

So I've heard; I imagine I'm not the only one who's left and returned?

[Rea hesitates. She sounds almost... rueful, when she speaks.]

It... makes me kind of happy. To know I had friends, here.

[It's not a feeling she's known much at home.]

[Zelda gives that some thought, too. She doesn't talk about the others who come and go often. If at all, nowadays.]

We cannot pick up where we left off, but we can start anew.

To true; life must continue no matter what path we choose to take.

[That was the reason she'd planned to leave home, after all.]

It sounds as though you've been worrying lately; mind if I ask why? I might not be the same as before, but I'm still a good listener.

You're very kind. I was reflecting upon my stay here. I've been aboard the ship for a while. Everyone changes over time and I know that I have, too. It's a silly thing to worry about.

[There's a little more, but that's good enough for now. The cogs in Zelda's mind are constantly turning.]

No, it's not silly. You shouldn't let it overwhelm you, but keeping the changes in mind will keep you from making any mistakes a second time, and will help you grow as a person.

[That's what she's been telling herself, at least.]

[Zelda brightens.]

You're very right. I feel like I've grown quite a bit while I've been here. In that respect, I'm grateful. Thank you for your consideration.

[She's glad it's helped her a bit, but her own words are rather quiet.]

No worries, it's just what I go by myself. Never forget, but never stop moving forwards, either.

We'll work together on this then. I don't think I've realised it until now, but I've missed you a great deal, Sarea.
